It is now fashionable to question other’s patriotism. Why? Because McChimp is out of the Whte House and the One is in.
From “Riehl World View” :
It’s Okay To Question Your Patriotism
It’s un-American, as well as prohibited to question the patriotism of those attempting to undermine a war effort, but question Obama’s policies and this is what you get. Liberals have no shame when it comes to hypocrisy. And I really regret that we are going to be reaping the unpleasant benefits to our politics going forward. Much more of this and the Right is going to get just as angry and ugly as the Left. Twenty-ten is going to be a ho holds barred blood match politically speaking.
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), who has had an eventful couple of weeks to say the least, believes House Republican opposition to climate change legislation and the stimulus indicates they’re cheering against the good ol’ US of A.
“It appears that the Republican Party leadership in the Congress has made a decision that they want to deny President Obama success, which means, in my mind, they are rooting against the country, as well,” the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman told WAMU radio host Diane Rehm on Tuesday morning, promoting his new book, “The Waxman Report.”
To quote Rush Limbaugh, “I want Obama to fail so that the country can succeed.”
If only the Dems would get out of their offices/staffs/volunteers/donors and actually talk to Americans they’d know we are frustrated.
I had been a life long Dem voter (to my family’s shame) until 2008. I saw the Dem party put up a one term Congressman with no significant voting record, watched the nearly religious fervor of the Obamanoids and was seriously frightened.
It was one thing to lionize JFK in an era of controlled media coverage, but to see it repeated 50 years later when so much more information is available was downright frightening. It was enough to turn my stomach and my vote.
I remember joining my family for a very somber Thanksgiving where we commented amongst ourselves “perhaps we were wrong, let’s hope we were wrong and that everything will be okay. If not, there’s another election in four years.”
But really, the greeting at the door felt very much like walking into a wake.
I don’t like Bush and I didn’t vote for him, but I absolutely cannot imagine him ever being able to do so much damage in so little time…and I’m afraid of where we’ll be in 3 1/2 more years.
America needs a viable third party for the disaffected in each party, I suspect that would be a majority of voters, but I could be wrong.
I can’t be a democrat anymore and I don’t really warm up to many of the republican policies.
I think/hope there may be a large number of people like me who need a viable alternative.
I hope one rises up, I would love to support it but I have no idea how you raise it up from the grassroots.
Sorry for the clueless political ramblings. I’ve been working my way down Chris’s posts, so I promise no further ramblings on today’s earliest posts. Apologies again.
Mr. Fountain, please feel free to just send this directly to the trash heap, I truly need to clarify my thoughts before posting.
