Suspect many small business guys arbitrage illegal labor; regulatory crap (via “donations” to politicians and their like); reported income and taxes (running their personal life through their business, money laundering, etc); and sell stuff of dubious societal value to customers who really should be saving anyway (tourism, entertainment, crappy food/cars/houses, quack healthcare, etc etc)

Plenty of sleaze and incompetence in many/most sanctified entities like small business, education, healthcare, charities, nonprofits, etc
