So simple even the head of P&Z can figure it out

Don Heller put his house at 45 Peasant Lane up for sale in the spring priced at (cough-cough) $4.795 million. That was pretty steep for a back lot, older home in need of some serious renovation and there were no takers. He dropped it to $3.495 last month and today it’s reported as pending. Assessment’s around $2.7 so anything above that is gravy – just in time for Thanksgiving!

So the strategy now is to argue with the town for a higher appraisal in order to support a higher price when you sell.

Go for it, CC – that’s really my plan behind this blog. Convince everyone else to get their appraisals raised and my own taxes will drop to nothing. heh heh

  3. Peasant Lane…isn’t that one of those streets, like Hooker Lane, that have been renamed by the Greenwich Board of Realtors? Just askin’…

Peasant Lane? Not Pheasant Lane? Love it. Assume it’s somewhere near Plebeian Place, but not to be confused with Prole Plaza.
