Gone hunting

Depending on schedule, back posting Monday (or, if there happens to be something better than dial-up internet in Bovina, New York, perhaps sooner). Have a most excellent weekend.

Try not to get shot. We will miss you. Happy hunting.

    Dude -
The thought of you traipsing through the woods dressed like Elmer Fudd and carrying a loaded gun is truely frightening. Don’t shoot anyone. Unless they are a lawyer or “professional real estate agent”. Have fun.
    Your Pal,
    Walt

  3. Home Magazines Closed

For someone following your home real estate blog for a year, I am surprised you never mention any magazines about your trade that appeal to women and some men like House & Garden and Metropolitan Home. Both have closed along with Gourmet magazine. Is it another sign of the collapse of the ecomomy and thinning pockets of disposable income?

    Item:

Bill (you dear scribe) Clark seen quaffing free champagne and gorging on cookies at Ralph Lauren’s new store on Greenwich Ave. (guess there were no funerals for free food today)

Could this be the same Bill Clark who is continually bad-mouthing the Chamber of Commerce and complaining about the demise of Ma & Pa businesses on the Ave?

    Only Scusie knows.

A Thanksgiving Marathon for Bourke (and maybe Noel)

Did you bring a Kindle book with you hunting?

Monday, 7:21 p.m., Central Time … Where are you? (Do I sound like a Jewish mother or what?)

Perhaps you have returned to your website and perused the backed-up commentary, and find yourself overwhelmed, under-impressed, quite annoyed, profoundly depressed, and/or utterly disenchanted by your yapping constituency.

Fair enough, but at least let us know that you weren’t a) eaten by a bear, or b) hustled into the Federal Witness Protection Program due to dealings with unsavory types, or c) shot by a fellow hunter, or d) crushed by a falling boulder on the highway.

    Yer pal,
    Old School Grump

  8. Chris didn’t go hunting with Dick Cheney by any chance?

OK, enough’s enough. Get back here now. Short of meeting Hoops in the woods, there is no excuse for your lateness. How do you expect us to function for this long? Hey? Galavanting to Pitaly, fishing in Wontauk, how many poor little creatures do you need to ‘catch’ to get satisfaction?

Talking of shooting, I hear that the Greenwich police all went with you. Those low lifes (the criminals, that is) from goodness knows where, heard about your trip and thought Greenwich was an easy target. Easy get away, nearest gas station to the I95.
Not funny, I know. I am pretty disgusted that they are bold enough to think that they can get away with it. Never an armed robbery of a gas station in the ‘City of London’, they wouldn’t get 10 feet. Why can’t Greenwich guard the borders?

Chris – next time you’re off, can you please make sure that the picture on your last post is a bit easier on the eyes? It’s frightening to check your blog these days. Thanks
