He refers to Obama’s appearance tonight at West Point as “going to the enemy camp.” If Matthews doesn’t understand that the president is also our Commander in Chief then he doesn’t deserve to enjoy tingles down his leg when he gazes upon the Messiah. Or does he truly believe that our armed forces have staged a coup and are now in rebellion against our civilian government? What a load.

CF,
You’re taking the “news” spouted by the likes of Chris Matthews way too seriously, son.
The only reason to watch Matthews in the first place–if you can stand the spittle–is for his riffs like: “That reminds of a movie… You know that movie with Spencer Tracy where he’s a lawyer? And Katherine Hepburn is a lawyer, too? And he whacks her on the fanny and she kicks him in the shin?”
That’s Matthews at his best. Completely off topic. It’s not news, but it’s a lot of fun. And way less painful than listening to Brian Williams trying to be erudite–you can barely hear his ponderous word strings for the wheels grinding.
Apparently, William Hurt’s character in “Broadcast News” was based on Brian Williams. Watch it sometime, it’s easy to see.
I think the last television news I watched was “WKRP in Cincinnati” – that was pretty good.
As god is my witness I thought turkeys could fly
Brian Williams is a genuine high school graduate.
No college degree, worked at Carter WH – enough to establish media bona fides.
I get all my news from this blog. Who needs to know anything more?
Brian Williams reads the news as slowly as if all his viewers are as dimwitted as he.
So if Mathews think West Point cadets are Obama’s “enemy” that must mean he thinks the Taliban are Obama’s allies. Probably makes sense to staff at MSNBC.
