Fly away, little bird!

10 Sparrow Lane

Priced at $5.250 million long ago and far away on another planet, this house eventually dropped to $3.8 and sold yesterday for $3.370 million. Assessment is $3.009,250. There was nothing particularly wrong with it; partially renovated, with important stuff like kitchen and master bathroom (I think) done, and a huge backyard that, unfortunately, overlooks Putnam Cemetary. Ghosts don’t bother me but they do some people – my guess though is that more were scared off by its price, not its ossified neighbors.

I think someone got a good deal on this- close to town with quiet neighbors. Now, what about 14 Ben Ct. Is this a joke or what? Sold in 8/09 for 1,350,000- did some renovations and put it back on for 2,295,000- what are they smoking? Please post the picture- The caption actually says “beautifully landscaped property” this is a waste of everyones time!

Speaking of cemetaries: What are the rules regarding some of the very old cemetaries in town which are practically on someone’s property? Is the “owner” allowed to groom the grounds, etc? I believe that they don’t convey, but who is responsible for the upkeep? When you look up the town records, turns out there are dozens of family cemetaries around town.
