Two kinds of Dutch courage

Jasper Schuringa takes on terrorists on planes

The other takes to the Senate floor fueled on it.

Of the two, Senator Max Baucus comes out the worst.

Update: Chris Dodd chastised Al Frankin (who sits because of ACORN fraud, if you enjoy that sort of irony) for lack of comity. He might do better advocating against 6-martini lunches for the Chairman of the Finance Committee.

A member of “the greatest deliberative body in the US”, LMAO! Head of the Senate Finance Committee… and people wonder why the government is in such a shambles financially and why the health care bill is a confused mess. Why was this guy not removed from the floor immediately? Why is he not removed from the Senate? If you or I showed up on the job in this condition, how long do you think we’d last?

The most depraved, dissolute Roman Senator of old had NOTHING on Baucus. Take note: his performance demonstrates his utter contempt of his constituents and of American citizens. Back atchoo, Baucus! Tenfold.

Regarding the Baucus debacle, I just wrote a letter to my Senator. I encourage anyone else who is so inclined to do the same. If we don’t at least make our displeasure known, then this sort of thing will continue, and these people make laws that affect our lives, including sending servicemen and women into harm’s way with shoddy equipment, etc. You wouldn’t let a slob like this babysit your children (I hope). And yet he’s legislating health care.

Is it any wonder our finances and our security are in the shape they’re in?

I’ve begun telling people I’m from North Dakota. At least I won’t be represented by an ugly version of Stuart Smalley then………… :(
