The Blue Smoke BBQ spot planned for the HoJo’s in Riverside has been canned. Dang – I do like barbeque and had been looking forward to this. Thank goodness Pal Nancy gave me a Bradley smoker for Christmas, so I can roll my own.

CF,
You don’t have to go very far to find good BBQ-Will Morton has the best north of Carolina. I get hungry just thinking about it!
Will’s is fabulous! I think I have him linked in my “Restaurant” page which is hopelessly out of date. If he’s not there, I’ll add him – thanks for the reminder.
We ate take-out from Will last night, and if the snow doesn’t get too deep by afternoon today we we may drive down and partake in more of his “Snow Storm Specials.”
Depending on the progress of the storm, Will thought that he might be open until about 4 PM today, so a phone call (NOrmandy 1-0100) might be prudent before braving the blizzard today. See “specials” below:

That is terrible news. I used to like Q in Port Chester but not as much lately. Still go there when I need a fix. The Smokehouse in Darien closed last year. They had good ribs. Luckily, I travel to Texas often and get my BBQ fix there.
Will’s the man – unfortunately, when I moved offices to Old Greenwich, I kind of forgot about his great place. I’ll remedy that.
If you do ever make it to Blue Smoke, don’t forget a side of creamed spinach. Best ever.
Oh NO. Very bad news – and another reason I’m happy to stay in NYC a few more years before biting the bullet and heading back to suburbia.
