Coyote sighting!

My brother John is visiting us here in Riverside and reports that at 6:30 this morning a large coyote appeared on our seawall. He eventually crossed the creek and disappeared in the sea grass, so I guess he’s Old Greenwich’s problem now.

  1. armonk

I live in Armonk, 1000 yards from the Greenwich town line. In the last 2 weeks we have seen both a black bear and a wolf on our property.

The bear has been spotted numerous times both in Greenwich and Armonk and destroyed our neighbor’s bird feeder.

The wolf was just passing through.

Forget coyotes, Chris. There are two deaths that need your headline writing skills. The owner of the Segway Company committted involuntary suicide by riding his product off a cliff. And another Madoff crony, Stanley Chais, just died at 84. Now that Madoff cronies Picower and Chais have evaded justice by death, do we have to wonder why the octegnarian Walt is doing everything possible to delay the day of his legal reckoning?

must have caught scent of your marvelous cooking, no doubt!

  4. interested

Coyotes are not indigenous to the East Coast, they migrated in from the West. Your sighting may indicate that they are now looking to cross the Atlantic and infest Europe.

I see that my comment may have prompted your interest in the evolution of the coywolf. Thanks for the article link.
