That broker’s site is horrible. They’re raking HOW much in commission? Other parts of the world have highly effective and modern carriage trade brokers, Gwich should get with the times.
Of course you should be linking to these homes instead of forcing to find the listings on other sites – even bloggers can be luddites!
That Clapboard house does look nice. Of course not for $5M, but nice.
Final comment/question why do almost all of these houses have truly horrible furnishings? They look like they were put together by David Patterson from a random collection of estate sales (especially the informal rooms). These are generally recent vintage houses (so no estate sale excuses) and they’re not even screaming WASPY/Preppy/Old money love of non-style. Just truly horrid informal setups that look to be from some staging firm’s godawful simulacrum of WASP at home. Some of the obviously staged spec houses are a mashup of horrible faux-WASP no taste and the worst parts of the Jersey shore. WHYYYY?
Love the Clapboard house, but still think it way over priced.
Was that another over priced Ogilvy listing by any chance? That is why they do not put the prices on their out-dated web site.
always thought of as nicest house in greenwich

Hey, I can’t link to the actual listings or at least, not easily. As for Greenwich decorating taste, it’s puzzled me for fifty years.
