309 Milbank, listed originally for $3.295 back in 2008 (and assessed for $894,000) has sold for $1.337. At that price, maybe the buyer can afford to renovate this great old house.

We looked at this house in 2008 when we thought we wanted to move to Greenwich and be two codgers living in-town. This, and everything else we looked at, was egregiously overpriced so we gave up the idea, fast. The house is indeed nice though and I’m so happy to learn it sold. I can’t remember: was it zoned commercial and residential?
Interesting… $450K above assessed, for a house with a view of Richard’s dept. store, and the song of the fire house and police station siren’s at all hours wafting up the hill. Has a “shared” drive to the multi-family’s behind/next door…
A hidden gem?
Or fools gold?
Pretty sure it’s residential, EOS, but probably multi-family.
This lot is R-6 zone (two family) 15,401 sq.ft.
Milbank is subject to special “boulevard” front setbacks, with a unique (for Greenwich) shared alley behind.
Elevation 58 in the street and 82 at the rear.
The car dealer garage to the south is in the Central Greenwich Business Zone.
