Riverside is hot

9 Spring Street A reflection more, I think, of a lack of inventory rather than any exceptional value, this house was listed at $2.150, went to contract in nine days and closed yesterday at $2.1 million

Isn’t it a pity

Alex Kali-Nagy has taken the 0.6 acre lot of 26 Marks Road in Riverside, subdivided it and plans to cram in two houses, for which he is asking $3.999 each. He might get it: he sold an equally squashed in house on Riverside … Continue reading

And so it goes

World’s last typewriter factory closes. After an entire student career spent working with them, I can’t say I’ll miss them. Or White-out. Do they still make slide rules, by the way? UPDATE: you can still buy vintage slide rules.

So who needs oil when we have Obama’s energy plan?

EPA bans Shell Oil from drilling off Alaska. Emissions from ice breaker boat might affect air quality of an Eskimo village, pop. 245, 75 miles away. I’m guessing the Eskimos would have been glad for the jobs, but “environmentalists” are ecstatic.
