45 Close Road, in backcountry, listed for sale as both “land” and “residential”. $6.25 million is the ask, but the enclosed is the only photo on the listing. So, I am assuming that this is a 4 bedroom houseboat?

Seasonally, a submarine.
Zillow has a slew of pix: the barn is the nicest part of it all. I hope whoever buys it doesn’t tear it down. Here’s the house description written by Engel and Volker (sp?)
Spectacular lake front property directly located on the point of Lake Wilshire. 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan. Park-like mature plantings and meadows lead down to grandfathered dock and warming hut. Property includes a newly renovated 3,250 sq. ft. ‘all green’ cottage and a large antique dairy barn. Let your imagination (and up to six horses) run wild

Assessed at $2.1mm. Looks like the seller is trying to hit the jackpot and find the $6mm buyer. Looks way overpriced. Good luck.
I hate it when Realtors just show the view from the house and not the house itself. Let the buyer make the decision whether or not he wants to keep it or tear it down. Are Realtors trying to prevent buyers from seeing the huge mansion that was recently built next door, and dwarfs the house at #45? The can’t fool me.
@Anon, it sold for $5.5M in 2007 pre-renovation. Chris wrote about it when it came back up for sale a year or so ago.

this sounds like the Chesters old house.
