“Occupy Darien” a bust today, (dis) organizer will hand out $1,000 down at Grand Central tomorrow to bribe fellow nut jobs to attend. She was, she claimed, willing to pony up $3,000 but was told it would be a waste of money. Hell, for fifty bucks I’ll drive up there and piss on her signs myself.

Oh man, it would be fun to get paid by Ragu for my travels from Grand Central only to bail when I get to town for christmas shopping at the Darien Sport Shop.
Sad. Looser, and Drunk…oh wait… drunk is fun.
Occupy darien? No occupy Greenwich? I’ a liitle offended…
Occupy Tilley Pond Park? What a joke: I’ve driven by it hundreds of times and never seen a single soul in the place. That should bring Darien to a dead stop. Would anyone even notice?
Or you could attend a Fox-sponsored, Koch brothers-funded Tea Party rally in New Canaan and listen to a rant by resident nut job Ann Coulter on how she’d support Jeffrey Dahmer against Obama.
The Occupy Darien only gets funnier and funnier. One of the handful of protesters was a young lad, Cole Strangler, who held a sign End The War and Tax the Rich. What’s wrong with that, you ask? Nothing except the irony is Mr. Strangler went to Brunswick, attends Georgetown, and is “just back” from studying abroad. So he’s okay to accept family money for the privilege of attending such fine schools yet talks out the other side of his mouth for this event? Pretty ridiculous.
dollar bill… do you need to prove, again, that liberals are characterized by their absence of any sense of humor?
Good God. This is scary, DB and I agree on something: Anne Coulter’s insanity. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year DB!
“Or you could attend a Fox-sponsored, Koch brothers-funded Tea Party rally in New Canaan and listen to a rant by resident nut job Ann Coulter on how she’d support Jeffrey Dahmer against Obama.”
Christopher – is DB for real? Or did you just conjure him up for our amusement?
Peg – I post him for our amusement but he’s real enough. He seems to be an under-employed member of the Deocratic “leadership” here in Greenwich and, while I can’t personaly vouch for this, probably lives in Cos Cob.
To be fair, Chris, if people are unemployed, the train ride to Darien would be cost-prohibitive.
I don’t think this movement is a good idea, though, mainly because there is no clear message. For example – the unions think they are part of it and glom onto it, but if you are having trouble getting a job with benefits and are eeking out a living by being self-employed or doing per diem work, you realize that you may lose you ability to live in your home or in this area because you will have to keep paying for all the pensions and benefits of your municipal workers, who may be whining that they are being asked to contribute a percentile toward their health care.
People in the OWS movement may not realize that the people standing by their side may be part of the problem. Has anyone been watching the goings-on in Central Falls, RI? It may be coming to a town near you.
Sebastian – Calling her drunk isn’t a good thing since I don’t think I ever heard a BAC reading having been taken, and since she wasn’t driving, I don’t think a refusal is a crime. If you don’t have the cojones to contact her lawyer, Mickey Sherman, and tell him that, I’d suggest it’s not nice to call her drunk. Or did I miss something and at some point in this saga, was her BAC given?
AJ – even without a big crowd the Occupy Tilley Park event will greatly inconvenience dog walkers. Although you say you never see anyone in it, it is heavily used for dog walking and even with few people there yesterday, people could not park in their usual places on Lakeside Avenue. I think this may be the biggest cause for angst of all of 2011 for the Darien pug owner I know.
You can belittle Ann Coulter all you want, but she’s laughing all the way to the bank. Great schtick.
Peeps the second CF worries about being nice by offering his opinion or telling the truth is the second I stop reading. Keep up doing just what you do Chris.
Peeps: In your response to Sebastion re: a certain ‘BAC’….you meant Mark Sherman, and not his pop Mickey, I think. I don’t know what Dad is up to these days, but I do remember interacting with him many times in the past with some ‘difficult cases’ (often ‘dual-diagnoses’). Mickey was always a decent chap to myself and to those I helped with court matters, I do recall. Blessings-Rev. Barb
Chris, are you implying that DollarShrill is also known as Frankie Funsucker IRL? I do sense a certain similarity in fuzzy “feel good” thinking and self-righteousness…just sayin’.
No no – Frank is intelligent, has a great sense of humor and bathes regularly.
