Michelle spends $50,000 on underwear during NYC shopping spree. While it’s certainly true that the Little People love the idea of their First Lady dressing in finery, I do wonder whether the woman’s husband has paid Peggy Joseph’s mortgage yet.
UPDATE: Tuition at Sidwell Friend’s School is $32,000 per kid. She spent just about that again, in one day, on bras and panties. Not bad on her husband’s salary of $400,000.

Well anon, I’d say between shutting down 5th Avenue for a personal shopping spree, $750,000 vacations to Spain, $ millions spent on flying her to Hawaii a few hours ahead of her husband because she didn’t want to wait for him, her spending habits are real enough – any worse and we’d be bankrupt even sooner than we’re presently headed. When an obscure state senator’s wife gets a $350,000 no-show job as her introduction to Chicago politics, it tends to go to her head.
