This is rich

Fresh from her vacation in Vail, the First Lady of the United States beseeched wealthy Democrat fat cats to share their wealth.  They got out their checkbooks, for sure, but only to shower Washington’s Thug in Chief with tribute, not to pass around to the wait staff serving those $10,000 lunches.

I enjoyed this part, too:

She also praised President Obama for getting rid of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy toward gays in the military.

“Never again will our young people have to lie about who they are,’’ Mrs. Obama said.

Guess she hadn’t heard about California’s new policy, dreamed up by her fellow Democrats,  forcing judges to confess  their homosexuality.

UPDATE: From the First Lady, Michelle Antoinette herself: Every day I hear about how folks [don't you love the intimate, rustic charm of this Princeton affirmative action fraud? - Ed] struggling, how they’re sacrificing and Barack Hussein and I want to join them in that sacrifice. Sure I wanted to return to Hawaii to recoup from my week at Aspen, but did I? Hell no! The girls and I got in your 747 (reserved just for our use! Did you know that? Holy shit did we hit the jackpot!) and came straight back to Washington – no second Hawaiian trip for this girl – not at least until next month, anyway,  cause ya see, I want to feel the pain of the little people”.

    Chris:

l think someone posted before on this subject before but Googling the first lady’s senior thesis from Princeton will give a person a good bit of insight into her thinking and the quality of her writing. Sure it was long ago but you know about Leopards and spots and so forth.

Good scam though, and working so far,

    BR,

I am a conservative Republican who believes in individual freedom. So I can vote for the Obamas or I can vote for the jokers on my side who have managed to spend two weeks talking about their platform to limit contraception?

HG – I entirely share your opinion that having presidential candidates discuss what people can use for contraception is nuts. But, I’ve heard pundits say that it’s not really the candidates that have an interest in talking about it. Rather, it’s liberal reporters who want the public focused on Republicans wanting to have women “barefoot and pregnant” instead of what Obama has done with our economy, regulation, etc. And – that does seem accurate….

On the other hand, Republicans need to grow a pair and simply change the subject instead of falling for this ruse!

I think forcing people to live a lie causes them to be very frustrated, unhappy and in the end, it comes out as an unkind attitude toward others. Hence, the life story of Roy Cohn.

HG: This is all because they continue to let the Obamedia drive the narrative. Just wish one of them had the courage to respond to the Anderson Coopers of the world: “Your question is absurd and a waste of valuable time. Americans want to know what we’ll do about the economy, not our personal views on contraception. Next question please.”

The media has been bought and paid for already.

I thought she was in Aspen, not Vail? Aspen is more of a limousine liberal spot versus Vail which tends to be more Republican (Gerald Ford used to vacation in Vail).

Also, I don’t really think it matters much what candidates say because 90% of the voters are too dumb to understand. For example, I heard a sound byte on the radio this week quoting Newt saying Obama changed 200 years of bankruptcy law when he made GM pensions 100% whole at the expense of GM bondholders who got totally screwed. This is absolutely true since the pension obligations and bond holders should have been pari passu and treated equally. But Obama earned browni points in Michigan by taking care of his voters. Unfortunately, most voters don’t understand this concept and it won’t make a difference in the election. The bondholders who got screwed happened to be pension funds who owned GM bonds, retirement accounts, fixed income mutual fund owners, etc. So in other words, a lot of anonymous people got screwed while Detroit auto workers benefited. But again, 45% of people don’t pay taxes, and most voters are stupid, hence we are stuck with the Obamas.

  8. This might be your best post on Michelle Obummer Chris. Keep it up!

@LA. Amen. Early on in the debates Newt was great at moderating the candidates responses and attacks on one another but I guess he caught the fever of thinking he had an actual chance to win the nomination.

    It’s really too bad.

I think you are too hard on the First Lady. No that she is without faults, of course. I have said this many times before on this blog so no need to go through it all again. You know how I feel.

  11. You’re right – Vail was last year, Aspen this year because she discovered, as you point out, the Vail’s for rich Republicans and Aspen’s for rich Democrats. Meant to write “Aspen”.

She is just another mindless American broad concerned mainly with celebrity, shopping and vacations. Hopefully, the end is near.

I knew it! The Obamas must secretly be working for the defense of the Old South – how else can you construe their ‘live high on the hog like Marie Antoinette’ behavior that reminds one of the worst Southern caricatures of the behavior of Freedmen in the South (and their carpetbagger and scalawag allies) during Reconstruction. They must so want to disgust Americans that they will rise up and cleanse the Augean stables that Washington has become!
