or I’d tell you about it! Check in later today and I’ll have a round up, if there is anything to round up. 2 Silk Road, new construction in Cos Cob, sold for $2.050. The builder asked $3.495 for it back in 2008 but that’s really irrelevant – it hadn’t been built then, so who knows what design/finish/size compromises went into getting this down to $2 million? Compromises or not, $2 million for a new house on a good street in town, even Cos Cob, strikes me as a pretty good deal.
maybe there’s no real estate news, but there’s plenty of news news – from US NAVY FIRES ON SHIP IN PERSIAN GULF, ONE DEAD to Romney planning on naming VP this week (pray its not Pawlenty), to your Favorite Gal, Vivian Schiller from NPR named to head news at NBC.

As one commenter said, and said well: Good thing she’s going from one media outlet with no liberal bias to another one that has no liberal bias. Whew! Her credibility will remain intact!
Do you have any images for the Silk road house? Seems like a fair price – dont know why a builder would think south of Rte 1 in Cos Cob could command more than 2.1 – no matter what you build – as there is very little – if any, historical support for such pricing.

Here is some local realestate news. Good for the Historical Soc, but how’d they make that happen?
