    I’ve never understood the whole bisexual thing. Seems to me one should prefer one sex or the other, not both! But, as Walt says, Not That…….geez, I wouldn’t want to be with someone who was so undecided about something so personal.

    And the response is predictable, more cash for Obama’s people: “Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said yesterday that the Obama administration has changed its formula for distributing funds for HIV prevention to get more money to the most-affected communities.”

    Isn’t government supposed to treat us all equally?

    It’s an infectious disease whose transmission methods are very well understood.

    If you do not engage (or at least engage with requisite prudence and care) in those risky behaviors which provide an easy method for that infection, your chances of catching and thus transmitting it are minuscule.

    The fact that a specific ethnic group in the US is still getting infected at a disproportionate rate kinda indicates to me that someone hasn’t been listening.

    However, given that the same ethnic group also has way more STD’s as a relative % in general, means I’m not shocked.

    No more than I’m shocked that bomb disposal experts get blown up a lot more than the general population, except they at least have a professional excuse.

    Fred2: There was mention in the linked article that black males may carry a larger viral load than males of other races. Personally, I think that’s likely bogus, but is possible. If true, I’m curious if it could have anything to do with the very high rates of Vitamin D deficiency in the same ethnic group

    I blame The Navy and you should too. If you live in CT and can’t get your garage door to open, it’s their fault.
    A radio signal being transmitted out of a submarine base is likely behind reports of garage doors failing to open and close in SE Connecticut. The signal is part of the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio system, which is used by the military to coordinate responses with civil emergency workers.

    But that’s not the horrible part. a Greenwich mother said: “she has to get out of her car, stand in front of the door and press the remote for the opener to work.” OMG, the world is coming to an end! :-)
