They’ve assigned the killer “Wade Michael Page” full three-name status. I don’t know why the press likes to do this but at least since the time of John Wilkes Booth, it has.

Lee Harvey Oswald, James Earl Ray, John David Chapman, and John Wayne Gacy would agree, but Sirhan Sirhan Charles Manson, John Hinckley and Jeffrey Dahmer would not. In the case of Mr. Sirhan, perhaps two first names were sufficient.

Actually, it’s Sirhan Bishara Sirhan. I remember after the RFK assassination hearing reporters on the radio using all three names.
Men in the news with three names are murders, rapists, etc.
Women in the news with three names are U.S.senators, corporate CEOs, cabinet officers, etc.
They do this a lot with women: Christine Tod Whitman, Sandra Day O’Connor, etc. So maybe they are trying to tell us something about the lack of manhood in these big-time killers.
