Friday’s madness continues

Connecticut state police threaten to arrest and prosecute anyone who disseminates false information about Friday’s massacre. This presumably includes all of the major news networks who have, so far, misidentified the identity of the shooter, the weapons he used, the occupation of his mother, the presence of a second shooter and the murder of the boy’s father.

And they were just warming up.

Mr. Fountain, you hit the nail on the head. You forgot that the murderer was there only a few days before complaining about his son being bullied. The fact that he met with the school psychologist and principal. The brother and sister in law were also murdered. Where’s Teri Buhl with the real facts when we need them?

      WTF are you talking about?

      • I am assuming he’s making fun of the looney conspiracy theories already making their way around the Internet. Of course, he might be one of them, but there’s entertainment value here either way.

thanks Chris for clarifying that for Libertarian Advocate. Did he read what you wrote about in the first place or does he skip to comments all the time?

Winnie: I did indeed read the linked article (although rather briskly), I guess I just hadn’t read or heard what you first mentioned in the early press coverage of the shootings. My bad, and I apologize for my lapse.

That’s not surprising…they ran out of better ideas.
In other news, witnessing parasitic colleagues indulge in their annual, holiday-time, bout of nepotistic opportunism –so very inspiring.

If anyone should be arrested it’s the whack job ME for making jokes at his Saturday news conference.

Burn: I noticed that as well. The guy is a major dick.
I worked as a crime scene investigator years ago and used to attend autopsies after a homicide. Those dudes are sick puppies. This one M.E. used to chuckle as he pushed dowels through a dead body, tracing the path of bullets.

I was bothered by his snickering as well. Just seemed wholly inappropriate, a day after the rampage. I guess we could give him a pass given the grissly duty he had to perform, but really, have some common sense, please.

Why is Facebook deciding to censor that?

Anybody know of any websites where discussions are taking place about the shootings? Like about that Facebook page in the name of Ryan Lanza (though the profile photo was not him)? And where posting was going on when Ryan was reportedly in custody for questioning? It would seem to indicate that there was someone else who knew what was happening. But I haven’t heard a peep about it since Friday (and it now does not show up on FB searches).

There was someone on the grassy knoll, I heard.

I know, Al Dente, I know. I’m still trying to figure our precisely who.

  8. Vance Show

Should we settle for one mouth piece. This Lt Vance said he wants to be a tv star someday. we know how realiable that source is? Where is Mike Wallace when you need him?

  10. winstonthegreat- I don’t have sources inside of the ct state police to do decent coverage of the newtown story. I also have never covered a murder story. But their are two investigative metro reporters at the Hartford Courant who have actually done a great job. I have been tweeting about the problems I see with LT Vance and the state cops miss-info that they have given out which caused some of the problems with miss information in news reports. I have a big problem with LT Vance’s press conference and think he needs to learn to read the federal communications act before he speaks. The police are public servants and I think they need to do a better job getting info out fast to the public. I feel it’s not their job to choose which info the public needs to hear. And if you hear LT Vance say he is the only one speaking with reporters that is utter bullshit. All local metro reporters have their own cops sources and trust me they’ve been trading favors to get ANY info on this national story.
