Phew, for a moment there I feared that Obama was actually going to interfere with gun ownership with his executive orders

It seems he was just after a photo-op with those cute children. Here’s the summary.
UPDATE: CBS: Obama, the NRA and the Nazis. Just as long as they keep their perspective here.

Told you that this was purely political – knew it once Joe Biden was given the job. Nothing to see here..move along

Much more critical to the Obama agenda is the ability to spend.

Obama needs an unfettered increase in the debt ceiling, the way Hitler needed the Caucasus oil fields.

However, it’s best not to trust Barry. Time will tell whether this was just a delaying gambit until he and the MSM can better shape the battle space to their advantage, a useful distraction to the upcoming spending fights, or both.

The official version of what happened at Sandy Hook most certainly is not what happened, too many inconsistencies. This is the same Administration that tried the false flag operation of Fast and Furious, and Eric Holder is still the same guy who was partially responsible for the Branch Davidian murders and coverup in Waco.

Pardon my French, but the mofos at the NRA had their chance to get out in front of the debate years ago, when they could have called for regs to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and crazy people. They could have advocated for sensible regs to ensure that hunters, sports shooters, etc , have access to firearms, while at the same time limiting access to firearms of mass destruction to cops and the military.

They could have done that. They had a chance to be reasonable. But instead, they went off the cliff, with their demands for any weapon, anytime, from handguns to rifles, to grenades, to shoulder-fired missiles.I’m sorry, but you NRA loons decided to be unreasonable, and now you’re reaping the consequences. Don’t blame the rest of us for your plunge into insanity. Wake me and the rest of America when you come to your senses. Until then, we have important work to do to repair the damage your dogmatic view of the 2nd amendment has done to our country. Your choice.

The NRA is giving out grenade launchers and shoulder fired missiles?

All I got from Barry is this dumbass Obamaphone and an EBT card which is annoying to use at strip clubs and casinos.

Heck, I’m switching my vote to the NRA!

DB, no point in debating guns with these people. They have theirs, and as CF ably demonstrated yesterday or the day before, their paranoia will keep them padding the manufacturers’ pockets for years to come. CF has one thing right: it’s no longer time to debate, it’s time to win elections. Happily for us, most of the country (and most of the Supreme Court, even better!) does not regard the Second Amendment as an all-but-unlimited license to own guns of any destructive capability and ammunition of any caliber and in any quantity. And the NRA is not politically invincible; far from it. Time to get out there and win some more elections.

    It’s for the children!!!

Each of Barry’s annual trillion dollar plus deficits are for the children!

Anon – they certainly are for the children – and grandchildren. After all; they are the ones who are going to be paying all their lives for our selfish misdeeds.

        our selfish misdeeds???

        • Peg

Yes. Spending trillions of $$$ that we do not have on all kinds of useless or “it’s for ME and forget about future generations” crap and thus saddling future generations with a mountain of debt is immoral and selfish.

Let me know if that isn’t clear…….!
