Determined not to be outdone in duplicity by the next Secretary of State John Kerry or the outgoing one, Hillary Clinton, VP Biden spoke eloquently to the national conference of mayors last week, tearfully recounting how while golfing years back, he’d heard the awful sound of gunshots taking the life of little Amish school girls. Moving, yes, but truthful? Er, no. Biden was nowhere near the place. Good story though, and isn’t that all that counts in this administration?
