D.C., land of the strictest gun laws in the nation yet somehow swamped with gangs of armed bandits (paging Fox Butterworth), moves to make wearing ski masks illegal. Well sure, I get it – just about anyone will violate laws on owning guns or using one to commit robbery and mayhem, but would a criminal dare don a ski mask if it were forbidden by law? Not hardly, especially if the city also establishes “ski mask free” zones near schools and liquor stores. And banks, and homes and ….
Okay, banning handguns didn’t work, what’s next? Ski masks worn by bandits!

A little deeper in the article:
“D.C. law already ban individuals — ages 16 and up — from wearing masks in public under certain circumstances, such as while committing a crime or with “the intent to intimidate, threaten, abuse or harass any other person.” But prosecution under the law appears infrequent.”
Once Feinstein is done banning and confiscating firearms then kitchen knives – she’ll have no choice but to pursue “one-time-use ski masks”
What, no “Hoodie Free Zone” to the idiotic ban?
As Bill Bratton said, enforce the laws and make punishment real and you’ll get results on crime reduction.
That’s OK, CC. We don’t expect real results from the public sector.
Somehow they have time to talk about BS like this, but balance a budget? Reform an obviously limping “justice” system? Actually _do_ their jobs?
