being an associate general counsel, she probably should know not to send such emails from her work email account

now everyone knows what kind of employee Crius Energy has on their payroll

    https://www.eff.org/issues/bloggers/legal/liability/defamation
The EFF has been involved in more “internet” defamation litigation than anyone. Here’s their description:

The elements that must be proved to establish defamation are:

    1. a publication to one other than the person defamed;
    2. a false statement of fact; that is understood as
    a. being of and concerning the plaintiff; and
    b. tending to harm the reputation of plaintiff.

If the plaintiff is a public figure, he or she must also prove actual malice.

Crius Energy, pimps for over-priced retail energy.

Of course she works for them.

Associate General Counsel ? Does she do windows too?

I say the two of you should settle the matter over a running race around Tod’s Point. Both of you have to wear skimpy triathlete lycra. Loser gets video of them losing posted all over Youtube.

    Do it!

  10. Barbara Clay, Attorney at Law

Who would like to take this case? Seriously, I have no time working 24/7. Call me if you want it. I wasn’t “canned” by David Boies, so I think we’re set. I alerted Crius that this was going on as it’s a circus show now thanks to cf. This will be the last post I make. You all have been great fun. Thanks for all the kind comments. Best to you all.

She is posting her photo, email address, and her phone number in a public forum! Wonder how many walls have her number scrawled upon them… for good “counsel” call … There’s a word for women like that!

Where’s Walt? He likes that kind!

Maybe I’m not understanding this thread. The records indicate that Barbara Clay sold it to Deutsche Bank in what Appears to have been a short sale. Deutsche Bank appears to have then sold it to Jason Ladue. Am I missing something or is Barbara Clay not the existing owner.

Is she bitter she lost the house or is she triying to sell it?

Either way she has no case and clearly has let her emotions get the beat of her. I’m glad you stood your ground ,Chris. Too often attorneys use the threat of a lawsuit that costs them little as a false unsubstantiated threat.

Barbara might be an attorney but the well respected component is out the window. If you can’t compose yourself professionally get out of the profession.

The really dumb part is her engaging in a public pissing match on a personal matter using her company’s letter head and email. If I were Roop I’d can her ass just for poor judgement. Is this outfit a public company? I bet those Toronto stock exchange shareholders would like to know how their money is being spent.

Can we go back to talking about guns please?

FWIW, not that it makes any difference, but you spelled angry wrong in the title.
