The science is unsettled

What happened to the hurricane season? It was a complete bust, despite dire predictions from the “experts”.

Over here on the rationalist side we’ve always thought that weather was weather and questions about long term warming were an entirely different matter. But in the Church of Gaia, every weather phenomenon is global warming – related, if it’s bad, and unrelated if it’s good. So when Al Gore, among other profiteers, states that global warming is directly responsible for the severity and frequency of hurricanes, it’s fair to point out this season’s lack of storms as a direct contradiction, indeed disproof of what he and his media friends claim are settled truths.

Same thing for tornadoes, which the media promised would be horrendous this year because of global warming, then completely dropped the subject when the tornadoes disappeared.

Storms and hurricanes will be back and when they are, Al Gore and company will be too.

It is not just hurricane season; all the dramatic predictions — Himalayan glacier melt, arctic sea ice melt, decreasing polar bear population, and sea level rise — have been falsified by events. And, of course, there has been no temperature rise for fifteen years, which has falsified every computer model, beginning with the “hockey stick.”

But Al Gore and his supporting cast of puedo-scientists, who basically earn their living by wearing sandwich boards predicting doom, make so much money from this nonsense that they will probably not stop until the money dries up.

Inagua: What else did you expect from a serial grad school dropout (Divinity & Law). Gotta earn a living somehow. Lucky he learned at the knee of his corrupt daddy Al Sr. was a mover & Shaker in D.C. on Armand Hammer’s payroll.

  2. hurricanes and tornadoes are just deck chairs on the Titanic, it’s all about social justice, don’cha know:

The “lack of temperature rise” has actually been a slight cooling – oddly enough, coincidental with solar quiescence. Naw.

You don’t need a weatherman to know… what that smell is.

  4. Just the Facts!

Give it time…it’s coming. Remember, Sandy hit around Halloween! If not in the Fall, then get ready for big storms in the Winter. Another theory believes the Volcano in Iceland a few years ago pushed so much moisture and gases in the atmosphere it took a few years to work out. Now that nature had healed itself…smooth sailing…..JTF!

Hurricane Sandy was a HAARP event. ;)

HAARP makes for good end of the world, made for TV movies: super, super cells; ice tornadoes and all that.

    • “Get ready for big storms in the winter”
OMG, we’ve never had those before! Winter in New England has always been a time of frolic and fun, long, lazy days soaking up the warmth on sunny beaches, and now – and now, it’s all ruined!
Do you know which jetport Al Gore’s at right now? I’d like to send him an apology.

  5. with the gov’t. on vacation, we’ll never know how bad things are

I understand the in the coming year, at night, it will get very very dark, a direct result of global warming! It only follows that mornings will bring such brightness, people will have to wear special global warming sunglasses! I fear the end is near.

This company correctly predicted no hurricanes this season btw. http://www.statweather.com/Index.asp?PageNo=1
