    Cant they just print currency to pay debt like the US does?

    No they cant …Portugal uses the euro … so they cant manage their own fiscal policy… which has also become an issue in several other euro based countries, Italy as an example..

    Catch-22….sorta like a loss of sovereinty no?………but then again, actually forced to be fiscal-y responsible? Never happen here………unless switch’d to the Amero or the Obama Buck……..
