Waiting for Lorne Greene

Waiting for Lorne Greene

Having been forced to sell off his prized horses (thank God Walt was on hand to stop the Fabulous Five from being loaded onto the knacker’s van), Fairfield Greenwich Group partner Jeffey Tucker is now offering to sell the farm itself. Funny thing, I’d have thought the more appropriate expression here would be “buying the farm” but those FGG guys always did have a strange way of doing things.

UPDATE: Okay, I was trying to spare Walt’s feelings but no one was getting the Lorne Greene reference so Walt, avert your eyes.

    Chris, Chris, Chris;
    You insult the filly’s (S.I.H.) so. They loved visiting Uncle Jeff’s farm up in the mountains, and will miss it so. The article is incorrect though. I founded FGG and took Tucker in as a partner.
    Anyway, I want you to see firsthand what your cruel posting did to Corina:

    Off to TENNIS!!!

    I thought those pesky lawsuits might have slowed you down a bit, but I see you are still at it. How is the Officiers and Directors insurance policy holding up? Remember, after the first $25 million you and your partners are on your own.

    Iguana –
    You are correct. The lawsuits are just pesky. Nothing to be concerned about. They are kind of like a horse fl…. Uh, they are kind of like a gnat. Just a minor annoyance. And $25 mill of D&O buys a lot of lawyers. Even at their crazy rates.
    But thanks for asking, my scaly green friend.
    Your Pal,

    Speaking of scaly’s, Walt . . .

    “Another defendant, Andres Piedrahita, son-in-law of Walter Noel Jr., has not been served with the suit. “We believe he’s in Spain,” Golub said. Another man with the same name was incorrectly served.”

    Wonder if that stunt double fooled the filly too?

    Fabulous Five? For a minute there, I thought you were talking about another scandal. Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, Jalen Davis and their other buddies will always be tainted. Certainly that was one of Michigan’s darkest winters.
