Excitement in the woods!

Excitement in the woods!

This 1965 house on an acre was listed last August for $1.795, went to contract April 24th and sold today for $1.215 million. 2,200 sq. feet or something close to that. Hmmm.

That place better have a gold mine in the backyard or something. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of.

CF…This is unrelated but I feel like I need to let off some steam. Oh dear oh dear. Let me be clear…I do admit I have a number of off-shore accounts. I have confirmed this on several occasions on this very blog. My only mistake was to think that my recent posting were not going to be leaked. Afterall, your readers represent .0001% of the Greenwich population. I do have to admit you amuse me sometimes. I need laugh these days escpecially because of this:

Those always-shrewd sellers and buyers of $1MM dumps….

Great neighborhood that has been slow to turn over. North Street School. 73 Dandy, probably the best property on that part of the street and up graded, sold in December for $1.5MM. Great area to raise younger kids as you can go hours without a car driving down the street. IMHO, the realtor did a good job for the seller and the buyer will enjoy raising kids there. A fair trade.

  8. kidding really?

Can I have the name of the appraiser of that house?

Just curious what you thought about the North Mianus area on the other side of the river? Pick my kids up from friend’s houses there and seems like some great quiet streets…thoughts?

If you mean Mimosa and that neighborhood, I’ve always liked it. Decent houses at a reasonable cost.

Buy the same house in Scarsdale and you are going to pay the same amount along with the benefit of 20k of property taxes at least; this house sounds like a good deal to me
