That’s what Jim Lash proposes today and he makes sense, as usual. Lash figures we’d save a minimum of $300,000 a year by collapsing the office of tax collector into the finance department and lose nothing in the way of tax revenue. I’ll see him his tax collector and raise him a couple of Selectmen and administrative assistants, but tax collector would be a good start.
tax collector
tree division
park gardeners
school custodians
its all in the works
Cos Cob students can do all that as part of their work study kurrikleum.
Day late and a dollar short for Lash. Should’ve have had this brainstorm while in office, but whadya expect for a part-timer?
