Pioneer Woman

I added this woman’s site to my blog roll (over to the right)  because she just seems to be capturing so many of the varied possibilities of Internet blogging and, unlike me, making income from that. But her recipes are great for newbies because she photographs every single step so that a neophyte can see, for instance, what a browned chicken breast should look like when it’s ready, or what size diced onions are. For an illustrative sample of what I’m talking about, check out this recipe of hers for chicken parmigiana – then send it to your college-aged kids so they can begin learning to cook. One of life’s essential, and most joyful skills.

ARGH! Blocked by the Websense netnanny application at the office!

If this is the site I think it is, I almost licked the screen reading her braised short ribs “recipe” (using the home laptop of course).

    Dude Man –
I already checked this chicks link out, and it is one of your finer efforts. In fact, it may be your only finer effort. But where is her recipe for spiced hogs ass? I have the Fillys lined up for that tasty morsel. Or Rocky Mountain Oysters? Chicken Lips? Fillet of Ass? Come on, Jerehmiah Johnson. Buck up.
    Your Pal,

Her cooking site is indeed drool worthy, but not so healthy at times. Have you seen the cinnamon buns??

Walt, if you click out of the cooking site to her “confessions” area, there is a slew of talk about calf nuts. Her hubby is a rancher, after all! 🙂

one of my fav sites, she just got back from a book tour that sadly, i missed. She homeschools 4 kids, she and her husband run a ranch, she is a master at internet marketing and she is a kick $$$ photog. She is my hero.

Her photos are fabulous – plus, lots of information for amateurs as myself. I just can’t figure out what her flaws are! Everyone does have ’em … right??
