In the absence of any real estate news, this is cool

The Jets just traded for Antonio Cromartie. The defense is going to be even more awesome next fall.

2007 edition of Cromartie = good
2008 & 2009 editions of Cromartie = not so good

    Ole tackler.

    Head case.

  3. Just the Facts!

Hiring mercs rarely solves the problem. Homegrown talent is always the better way to go. Not to mention the Jets don’t have a problem with the defense. What about trading for better quality receivers or at least focus on drafting/trading for a decent cornerback? GO STEELERS!

Chris, my man, you missed the best part:

Cromartie has fathered at least 7 (!) children by at least 5 (!!) – maybe 6 (!!!) – different women (I’d say it’s so hard to keep these things straight, but Antonio seems to have no problem in keeping his thing straight):

And he’s only 25 years old! At this rate we’re talkin’ fertility and offspring ion a biblical level.

Yeah, that’s who I want on my team.

Hmm. Productive fellow, I must say. Actually, I was just remembering him doing a good job for San Diego but if they’re willing to give him away for free (3rd round draft choice) he must have some …issues.

Duke – You have to be a head case in the NFL; it is a requirement. It is just that tough.

Just the Facts – Understood, but “the best offense is a good defense” is still for some reason an underestimated strategy. It got the Jets in the playoffs with a rookie QB this season and awesome defense took the SuperBowl away from the amazing offensive perfection of Peyton Manning. Hard to argue.

The Word – Mr. Cromartie is just following his biological imperative and spreading his DNA far and wide. Besides, with his salary, I guess the child support isn’t keeping him up nights.

    Greenwich Gal likes her football.
