ABC has gone dark on Cablevision as of 12:01. I’d like this resolved by Monday,7:00 p.m., please.

Oddly enough, broadcast HD TV is great in Greenwich with a simple antenna the size of a cigar box, except for ABC, which doesn’t pick up.
Hmmm. Disney conspiracy theory in the making…
I’m siding with cablevision on this one. Enough with jacking the fees when your expensive programs come up short.
Cablevision was created by a politician called Al D’Amato (Hempstead Recovery Act guy) back in the 80’s. Dolans gave this crook hundreds of thousands of dollars to pass a telecom bill and create a monopoly back then and is an oligopoly now. The Dolan family has been sticking it to the consumer for many years.
Although Disney is playing hardball here (and probably pissing off consumers and ad people), Cablevision’s collusionist criminal oligopoly must be terminated. FOX is next and we will all see this end soon.
The Duke will be irked if he can’t watch “LOST” (IMHO the finest show in the history of network television) in hi-def but he will get over it.
Channel 8 it is.
Having dealt with both Cablevision and Verizon for residential and commercial service I consider Cablevision a blessing. Verizon’s workforce has the “I’m in a union so I don’t care about your problem and I can’t work too fast or I’ll make the rest of the guys look bad” disease. Cablevision’s employees have to actually do their jobs. I’ll take an oligopoly over a monopoly any day.
If you want some awards entertainment, consider this Razzie 2010 for worst actress, Sandra Bullock, in “All about Steve”:
Can get Jeopardy and the Oscars on channel 8 (will not be in hi-def however)
Anonymous – March 7, 2010 at 4:43 am, You, too, with the no ABC? Gosh, here all this time I thought it was some quirk in the placement of my antenna.
You can also watch Jeopardy! at 5:oo on channel 15.
