For some odd reason, WordPress has chosen to substitute the photo of brother Gideon for my own dog icon in my comments. Go figure – I can’t, and nothing I can do about, to my knowledge. It’s done this before, then reverted back so perhaps it will again. It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
I see the dog icon
Hmm – have you discussed this with your eye doctor?
Dammit, I see that dog icon, too! My evil plan has failed!
Revulsion to the mean.
Priapus – Reversion? Or pun?
I hope you know better by now.
April 22 deadline approaching for required lead certification
Published: Wednesday, March 31, 2010 4:12 PM CDT
Beginning next month, federal law will require that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified in the new EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule and follow specific work practices to reduce human exposures to lead.
Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can crate hazardous dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. To protect against this risk, on April 22, 2008, EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. All contractors must be trained and certified by April 22, 2010.
