Congratulations !!
Yes, congratulations are in order. I wonder if the administration and faculty at GHS are curious about what elements are present in the family environment of these students to produce such excellence. Probably not.
That was a weird comment, Stump. What do you mean by that? I mean that is not the job of a school administrator – everybody knows that a positive home life with resources makes all the difference in the world. That and some quality DNA.
Gal, I’m sorry if you found my comment weird. I guess I was alluding to the educational establishment’s penchant for constant innovation while actual achievement shows no improvement from it. I think it perhaps is the job of an administrator to find out how really to motivate students, and maybe there are better answers than those published in educational school tracts.
I can’t speak for all these talented boys (no girls on the team that I can see) but Warren Bine comes from a home with two bright, loving parents who care very much about their children’s education. Not much a school board can do to duplicate that, but it’s certainly a recipe for success.
Ok, Stump, I get it now. By the way, if you DO find what indeed motivates teenagers, you let me know. I want in on that. Along with the rest of the parents of the world. (Big Sigh…)
I don’t want to be so presumptuous as to claim I could motivate any teenager, but my own daughter, now out of her teens, has been a source of immeasurable pride to me, and I know that learning will be a lifelong source of joy to her.
