This is actually “good news”. Pessimism peaks just after the economy has turned. Take a look at prior peaks 74-74, 82-83, 90-91, 96….these dates tend to coincide with the preiod just after recessions have been declared over (in hindsight)..my guess is that Sept-Oct 2009 will be declared the end of the “Great Recession’, probably by the end of July…
