That horrid Teddy Kennedy, may he roast in Hell, accused Robert Bork of creating back-alley abortion clinics

In fact, it was people like Kennedy who set these people free.

    Your anger at Ted Kennedy is misplaced. The person most responsible for the suspension of abortion mill regulation in Pennsylvania was Republican Governor Tom Ridge, the genius who also brought us the politically correct and annoying TSA.

    @Inaqua
    Misplaced? Why is it sensible to assert it was all Ridge and not Kennedy?

    Apart from agreeing with Christopher’s speculation on TK’s final destination (something I’m hesitant to do with the exception of particularly loathsome characters) – Kennedy’s support (100% according to Naral) across the parts of his career that mattered were *seminal* in the abortion industry’s efforts to normalize slaughter. This was TK’s baby (no pun intended).

    And frankly I don’t understand the point of crediting Ridge in the latter 90’s when this butcher was *already* in operation for almost 2 decades prior. What is it Ridge allowed him to do exactly? Operate without inspections to ensure efficiency and (lol) patient’s health?

    I’m all for giving an audience to a contrarian position but PLEASE make a credible effort.

    This partnership with evil (indifference is partnership – sorry) is why I have no interest in forming alliances with people who want lower taxes but think judgments that upset liberals are to be condemned.

    You know what? Go Galt on your own is what I want to tell such people.

    Jim P,

    You are conflating support for abortion with regulation of abortion. Kennedy supported abortion; Ridge deliberately did not enforce existing medical regulations. Do you agree that as long as abortion is legal that it should be subject to medical regulation?
