What’d I say?

Challenge to anti-poligamy law, based squarely on recent rulings in favor of gay marriage. It’s the only logical extension of what is now the law, so if you and that Great Dane of yours have been longingly eyeing the wedding chapel, start measuring her – or him – for a nice outfit.

Kind of a big error for a lawyer to make, Chris. “Based squarely on recent rulings in favor of gay marriage,” you say? As the link you have provided shows, Brown’s suit is actually based on Lawrence v. Texas, the 2003 suit about antisodomy laws.

As Professor Althouse writes (again, in the story you linked to…do you read these things before posting them?): “Please don’t make the mistake of thinking that people like Brown are asking the state to include them in the legal definition of marriage.”

Oh c’mon Chris…you know better. Utah is a hellhole.

    • Well my grandfather John Gilbert was from there and my mother was treated very well by the citizens of, I think, Provo, when they chose to honor him and invited her out there.

Oh, my God – how long am I going to have to read moronic analogies between same-sex marriage and marrying one’s pet?
