You’re probably a criminal and don’t know it

Wall Street Journal article on federal crimes. There were exactly three when the Constitution was written. We’re up to 3,000 n0w and, when you add in all the criminal penalties affixed to federal regulations, no one seems capable of counting them. Certainly over 10,000, and you could find yourself serving a decade or so in prison for something you had no idea was illegal. Gotta love big government.

    Dude –
That is pretty bad, but did you see this? Two 14 year old kids are labeled as sex offenders for LIFE for mooning their friends? How screwed up is that? We ruin 2 kids’ lives for flashing their ass?

Are you kidding me or what? So if I get caught streaking around your house, and shooting a roman candle out of my ass at you, I am a sex offender now? I have killed many a boring Saturday afternoon driving down Greenwich Avenue with my lily white ass sticking out the window. That is a crime? How are kids supposed to have any fun?

Yeah, you’re right. Arrowhead guy is probably going to spend AT LEAST a decade in federal prison.

Be especially kind to Walt today, he must be devastated by the news that Amy Winehouse has assumed room temperature.

I tore the tag off my mattress. Will that get me into a nice, cool prison?

I bet our forefathers didn’t have this law in mind either back then…..In Los Angeles, a man may legally beat his wife with a leather strap, as long as it is less than two inches wide, or she gives him permission to use a wider strap.

    Dude Man –
I must admit I was saddened by the death of Amy Winehouse. Do you know who she is, Cave Boy? Google her.
She was an incredibly talented train wreck waiting to happen. I sometimes think those who are blessed with incredible gifts have to pay for it in other ways. Think Mozart, Buddy Holley, John Lennon, Jimmy Hendricks, and many many more. But I don’t understand how no one helped this chick. And I do think her talent had a price. And she paid for it way too soon. It really is a tragic waste.
The good news is you and I have no talent, so we will live to a ripe old age!! Party on, Dude!!!
    Your Pal,
    Walt

    • I identify with Amy Winehouse only all to well, Walt. Her death was entirely predictable and a real shame. And her friends did try to help her, but you have to want to be helped. A very sad case.
