Well no, actually, that’s not where I’ll be. I don’t do malls to begin with and I can’t see the utility in fighting shoppers and Occupy Whatever protestors to buy unwanted items that will be discarded junk a year from now.
On the other hand, I do intend to celebrate this Thanksgiving with family, and I have a lot to be thankful for. My kids are fine, albeit doing what they want to do rather than what I think they should do – no change there – the rest of the family is healthy and successful and with the help of a large number of caring individuals I’ve recovered, or am recovering from, a heart attack in February and some personal problems that were dragging me down.
So I’m grateful to my family, my friends and of course, all you readers who put up with my bilge every day. And I’m grateful for whatever power put all of you in my path and my life. God bless you all. Now, start your engines and head for Costco!
