That statement is no longer operative, II

After “categorically denying” it on Saturday, the TSA now admits its agents strip searched an old lady. It’s not just the billions wasted on these petty dictators that bothers me, it’s the false sense of security they give to the unwashed public. The TSA is both worthless and dangerous and should be eliminated.

I continue to disagree on this issue. We’ll never know, but I think it has deterred plenty of hot headed fools from hatching a hasty plan to terrorize.

That money would be far better spent on the Sky Marshall program.

A striking difference exists between the experiences one has with TSA at JFK versus TSA at Zurich airport. Same rules, different (Swiss) staff.

  4. I’m old enough to remember when flying was an elegant affair. For that reason, I haven’t flown anywhere since 2007 because I find the TSA so distasteful. That year, after using all our points for first-class seats to Maui, we were still given the “treatment” by the nearly illiterate thugs manning the gates. Given my wishful thinking for past splendor, I dressed nicely for the occasion, but I would have been far more comfortable in pajamas and slippers.
