You never know what you’ll find on the Internet

Here’s an excellent article on teachers and parenting  (it’s excellent, obviously, because I agree with the author) written by a Wilton parent, Heather Borden  Herve, and published at Greenwich Patch.

It is no mystery who the good and bad teachers are at Greenwich High School. Just go to RateMyTeacher.com to see what is what. I heard a rumor that, in Greenwich, tenure is granted after only 3 years! So this is why they can’t fire the bad ones.

    Dude –
I am trying. I really am. But when you post something written by a “Heather Borden Herve” I have to click the link. I feel compelled to. I try not to, but I am weak. You know that. You evil, evil man.

Firstly, she should have been named “Lizzie” and drop the Herve. Don’t you agree? And did you read her bio? She lives in Wilton, for Pete’s sake, and then goes on to describe a stereotypical “Stepford Wives” existence. Did you read this crap?

“Heather moved to Wilton in 2007 and has spent most of her time since then in the car driving her children from one activity to the next. Despite her family’s busy schedule she has still been able to keep up with her interests in media, national and local politics, and pop culture. She’s giddy that Patch offered her a platform to write about her views.”
I want to puke. Giddy? Why not wet your pants happy? You spoiled little hausfrau.
    And this:
“She enjoys trips to France to see her husband’s family, dreaming of how she’d decorate her house, paying it forward, and watching her kids learn. Oh, and imagining what the recommended 8 hours of sleep a night would feel like.”
You have it really tough LIZZIE!! WAKE UP!! You spoiled little brat. She isn’t bad looking though Dude.
    And this pearl:
“Sandwiched in between media gigs, Heather started a children’s knitwear accessories business, la Folie.”
You can’t make this crap up. She is the perfect women. And she knows it. Someday I hope to be able to see it.
You all square with Ms.McBeal yet? She seems pretty well grounded. It may be the very large cans. What do you think?
    Your Pal,
    Walt
And what is up with the Super Mario Brother ads? And if I posted this multiple times like a retard, delete the other ones. I think your blog is acting up.

Walt – That’s the best (so far) of your many great posts. Keep up the good work.

To make schools work there must be incentives. Choice and vouchers are the way to go.

    Excellent article.

    >50% of GHS grads manage to graduate college.

    UN_FING_BELIEVABLE!

Considering the excellent elementary and middle school teachers we have, we must have some appalling HS teachers.

That must be very frustrating for the GREAT teachers there.

Cuomo and Bloomberg are currently trying to break the teachers union stranglehold on NYS.

Maybe we should warehouse these inept ones like NYC does.
