Greenwich Time completes its conversion to a Democrat mouthpiece

A quick scan of the Internet shows an almost universal consensus that Romney whupped Barry’s ass in tonight’s debate. Our Greenwich Time, however, saw it differently and only grudging admits that Romney “held his own”.

Post polls show Romney absolutely crushed it.

    Dude –
    Now I am tired,
    I have rhymed a lot.
    About the debates, and candidates,
    While I spanked my knot.
A bad boy I have been,
    Who spanked his crank,
But now I am done tugging,
    And this wasn’t a prank.

Dude – This rhyming crap is a waste of time, unless you want to do rap. Can you sing, home boy? I can out rhyme these wiggha’s all day long, but it is below us, right? We are ARTISTES!! Street rhyming is below us. Right? Do you aspire to be a mime? You loser? You probably can’t even do that. AND THEY DO NOTHING!!

I want to do a treatment that gives the audience uncontrollable bowel movements. Without quaaludes. Real heart felt stuff. Forrest Gump in Greenwich. Who sells dirt. Who blogs. But can’t write. Has no discernible talents.
Do you know anybody like that, who I can speak to in order to get some script context?

It would be a winner. You load.
    Your Pal,
    Walt

Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney

It’s obvious that Romney won bigtime.

But where are all the stories this year about how the taller candidate usually wins the race?

Romney is taller but does the preferred race now trump taller?

Greenwich Time is part of the reality based community – unfortunately, it’s an alternate reality where there is no deficit, plenty of money for spending on any program any Democrat can imagine, the world is a peaceful place, the RTM is functional, Town employees work 12 hour days for a pittance, teachers are grossly underpaid, all the children are above average, and taxes are far too low.

I just dropped my GT subscription after >25 years. Yes, it’s become too liberal for most people’s tastes, but the cost cutting giving us Fairfield County news and less and less Greenwich news and the reliance on wire services made it less than necessary. With the local sports coverage so reduced, there’s really not much there.

“Romney holds his own”?!?!??!! What does this mean – that Obama got castrated and Romney didn’t? I would say THAT about sums up the evening!

I think Barack was a bit over-professorial. Mitt clearly outdid him on style points, where I think the instant analysis always trends. Remember Gore’s sighs? Bet you can’t remember anything else from that debate except, perhaps, “lockbox”. I was also mightily impressed that both candidates presented a clear, competent and obvious choice in the election. You know where I go, but none of this nonsense about “centrism” and “bipartisanship”. We need to elect a leader with a point of view, and they both clearly presented one. As far as going forward, I think Mitt’s going to have problems tossing away his tax cut 5 weeks out, the $716 billion of Medicare that hasn’t been cut yet which mirrors his VP’s plan isn’t going to stick and the fact that there wasn’t a plan he wouldn’t support (wont cut Medicare, wont cut taxes, will rely on cutting “deductions”, wont touch defense, will cover preexisting conditions, will cover kids until 26, won’t tweak social security) makes him sound like a Democrat. And in that case, he’s either lying to the Republicans or he’s lying to America, but in either respect he’s lying. Mitt should be congratulated on making a case that he looked the part last night, but are Republicans and Independents so desperate to drop Barack that they will believe that Mr. 47% is now a compassionate conservative, and is that what they want? I think that’s the dance with the devil they don’t know

  9. They were always a Dem mouthpeice under McCumber – who is now out. I think the Dems just court Neal and Brian better than the Republicans. Ex your partner Chris. But having worked with Neal – I can say he thinks down the middle. The other political reporters I don’t know about.
