More on the sequestration scam

A couple more weeks of this and we'll be back in business, Jim

God they’re stupid, eh Hussein?

Mark Tapscott:

The sequestration scares are the ultimate example of theWashington Wink-Wink: Politicos from both parties warn of imminent disaster if the federal budget is “cut” even though they know government spending will be higher in 2013 regardless if the sequestration “cuts” are implemented.

Put another way, the sequestration scares are lies, pure and simple. Not just bunk, not just distortions or mis-statements, but lies. And every professional politician – Democrat, Republican, Socialist, Independent – in this town knows it.

The question I have is whether the press is in on this deception or just clueless? Clueless is less scary, but disheartening. I’m going with the deliberate manipulation proposition,  because even  journalism majors can’t be as imbecilic and naive as they’d have us believe.

In the folk tale “Chicken Little” the chick warns all the animals about the sky falling. In the end they are all lured into the den of a fox who eats them. Hmmm.

    Dude –
There is no doubt the MSM is fully supporting The Commie in Chief’s agenda. And the sheeple buy it up. They have no idea, nor care about the core values of this country. And the press is a major contributor to the problem. There is no independent unbiased, MSM. And that is a problem.
The foundation of this Nation is built on the principals of the freedom of its citizens, with minimal government intervention. The Federal government’s primary and possibly only responsibility is to declare war and protect our borders. Local governments should provide education and infrastructure. Other than that, STAY OUT OF PEOPLES LIVES!!

When did the people decide it was the government’s job to decide what we “need”? When did this happen? IT DIDN’T!! “They” decided. They decide you don’t “need” an AR-15. They decide you make more than you “need”. They decide you don’t pay your fair share. They decide you don’t “need” a 32 oz. soda. SAYS WHO!! Who gave them the power to decide what we “need”? That is not their frigging job, and none of their God damned business.

Instead of being a freedom based society, we are now a needs based society. AS DEFINED BY “THEM”!!! And people don’t see how frightening this is?

Our society was built on the basis that people would be given an opportunity to succeed, so they could get what they WANT, not what they need. Now you get what you “need” as determined by a bunch of mindless, humorless, dickless bureaucratic Commies. Who think they know what you want or need better than you do. And now, if you succeed, and have an opportunity to get what you want, you are demonized!! The Golfer in Chief has spun our core values against us!! Brilliant I say!! But truly frightening.

It really is astounding what is happening in plain sight.

But under Obamacare, you may get that free lobotomy. So all is not lost. But they will decide what healthcare you need. Because “they” know best. Come to think of it, “they” actually might, because the majority of society is made up of morons.

    You moron.
    Your Pal,

  3. Hey guys wake up…
The present is as a result of the results of our education system.
Since the Jane Fonda intellect game change in the 60’s, guilt rules.
Government lies from the LBJ daze allowed the reddies to get traction.
Eductaion is all now about what to think not how to think.
Phd creep to include all stupid ideas equally is the result.
Journalism and Policy majors are just a part of the “If I think of it I know how to react’ mindest instead of ” what is going on’ ?
Presumption is that simply being alive as a born in US statistic, the planet is being ruined. Why bother to advance fun and prosperity when all that will do is make it worse.
Only solution is an Obama, Kerry, Holder joint genuflection to a worldwide soulution to repair all of the evils of success ?
    Sustainable ?
Revenge Vote of 2012 won by the as reported in the press as a stunning victory. This incredible 51% trashing of the 49% needs to be reversed in 2014 and 2016.
Avenge our loss by rallying what is left of educated portion of our country.
By solving problems without Government Depends.
They smell bad, we have spicy susatianble solutions.
If it smells bad it probably is bad…it is bad.

This story has been out there but worth repeating…

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class… had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on) These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

    1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

    2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

    3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

    4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

    5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

No response…………..just invoke the “implied consent” rule.

As far as the subject matter, the democrats and the press have referred to future reductions in increased budgetary spending as “cuts” for many years.
It’s never been true, yet the republicans continue to allow them to frame it that way. Unbelievable.

      • firsttimebuyer

Yes – the republicans have been amazingly ineffective. Even if they did talk about the truth about the ‘cuts’ though, MSM would not report it.

It’s Sunday night, and your media is still absurdly biased toward democrats in general and Obama in particular. Can you imagine the adverse press that would rain down on a REPUBLICAN who was responsible for: 1) four US victims of terrorism in Benghazi compounded by a false narrrative about some youtube movie, all to cover the President’s derriere just before the election, 2) a US court finding that the President broke the constitution by packing the NRLB (labor board) when the Senate deserved to be consulted, 3) five years of trillion dollar deficits, 4) loss of AAA bond rating of US government debt, 5) record 4 years of unemployment near 8%?

Objectively, the press holds Republicans to a much higher standard. Come to think of it, there is justice, and a back-handed compliment in this.
