Gonzaga, a Jesuit university, bars Knights of Columbus from campus because it’s a Catholic organization

Well why not? All our secular universities are busy indoctrinating their students to hate their country and the beliefs it was founded on, so why shouldn’t the Catholics eat their young too?

Gonzaga’s Black Student Union chose not to comment on the matter, but its members could be heard giggling from behind the locked doors of their clubhouse.

    Micksters alma mater?

    • Ah, I’m not sure how Mickster’s lily livered “support” of the Second Amendment implies that he supports other suicidal forms of political correctness, but okay …

I was visiting a Catholic website and stumbled upon this issue and the rather interesting comments which followed the posting. As these sorts of stories become more routine and at the same time, increasingly bewildering from American higher education, it seems that some folks have gone beyond expressing mere displeasure to really taking issue with what they see to be silly, illogical or worse. I know that I’m probably looking at this too optimistically (I just read some excerpts from that NAS report about the liberal arts college in Maine . . . wow) but if anything good is to come from all of this, it may be that people are being forced to confront the direction the old alma mater is going in.
