The fat man sings: “I wanna be your next Democrat President”

"I'll still call it the master bedroom, chief - no prob."

“You can still call it the master’s bedroom, chief – no prob.”

Governor Chris Christie, once a Republican, surreptitiously admits that he’s running for president, as a Democrat. Proposes new gun control laws that he acknowledges won’t affect criminal’s behavior. But it will harass and hinder law abiding citizens, which is the  hallmark of Democratic policy, in everything. Christie’s policy is obviously designed to repel Republicans and make him more attractive to Democrats – picture it as next waddle in his career plans after serving as Obama’s butt boy during Hurricane Sandy.

The plan calls for expanding New Jersey’s already strict gun control laws, expanding government-funded mental health treatment [higher taxes], making it more difficult for kids buy or rent violent video games, requiring that would-be gun owners show government-issued IDs and bolstering penalties for gun-related crimes. [Oh, and imposing an absolute ban on the Barret .50 caliber, a bolt-action gun costing $10,000 and is four-feet long, and until today known only to Christie as a popular weapon for mass murder].

According to the Brady Campaign, New Jersey already has the second-most extensive set of gun control laws, after California. According to the Tax Foundation, New Jersey had the second-highest state tax rate in 2010, and the 49th worst business tax climate.

A pure Democrat agenda, but can he switch parties in time for the primaries?

the dumb brady ads are still running – with mrs. brady chiding viewers to vote for gun control. yoo-hoo, sweetie, it’s over.

  2. The libs want to pick the Republican nominee, like they did McCain. By calling Christie a “moderate” a billion times in the media he might get the nomination. That way the Dems can slide Hillary into the whitehouse.

    • If that’s the media’s plan (and I don’t discount your theory), Christie isn’t just selling it the rope with which to hang him, he’s giving it away.

Actually who would you rather have as President, Christie or Clinton? Assuming there were no other choices. I admit Christie has little chance of getting the nomination.

Fat guy in a little coat?

  5. Only the Barratt is banned? Other .50 BMGs are OK? Liberals are like rich kids whose dads have paid to get them lessons on how to be bullies.

Christie may be a “Republican” in the New Jersey-New England context, but he’s no friend of liberty in any manner, shape, or form. He’s pure Jersey, and Jersey can keep him. Kind of reminds me why I told my wife when we were living in New York and contemplating a move to the ‘burbs that I would not even consider anywhere in New Jersey.

Wonder if Christie, like Jeb Bush, thinks that LBJ had the right idea about The War On Poverty? Modern U S Gov’t more and more resembles The Mob. Everybody “in” gets a piece of the action. They could show Tony Soprano a thing or 2 about getting results.
