Solving the state’s problems, one drop at a time

New legislation will allow more than four bottles at a time to be opened at wine tastings. Someone – not a Democrat – might have used the occasion of revisiting this urgent issue to ask why the government thought it was any of its business to count open wine bottles in the first place. This is not that government.

    How disappointing that this is the legislation our elected officials are enacting. I’d rather they did nothing. In fact, how did the original law come about? Too much competition for wine bars?
    Every charity has a wine tasting, with lots of open bottles, and usually wine for sale. Legal or illegal?
