It’s getting warm down there at 1600 Pennsylvania

We should never have left Chicago

We should never have left Chicago

White House calls liberal columnists into the West Wing, en masse, to give them talking points and direction.

Ari is gonna lose his NPR credentials if he isn’t careful. Shouldn’t he be supporting NPR’s president?

  2. That is a great photo !!!!
    19th Century drone ?

  3. Obama is stunned when errors occur in his government. As an activist and later as a Senator, he became accustomed to being an outsider, able to criticize without having an executive’s responsibility to make choices. Now he has the most demanding executive job in the world, and he only knows how to campaign, not to execute.

“My unique historical role is to pull American society strongly leftward. Do I really have to discipline the millions of people who pull a paycheck from Uncle Sam? I didn’t sign up for that……..”

    This is great:

The only messed up part about this story is that it might just get repealed because unions are demanding it….we know where the power lies…

The edifice of Grecian columns is crumbling, “yes we can” is giving way to “we know nothing” and Valerie Jarrett is calling in all of the Court’s jesters to try to reassemble a broken Humpty Dumpty (geez, talk about mixing themes and metaphors).

Seriously, a discussion with these folks could have been done by chat or via email. That they are calling all of them to a face-to-face meeting has two real purposes. First, so that Jarrett et al can look all of the courtiers/jesters in the face when they give them their marching orders. Second, the paranoia at the WH must be very high and they want personal meetings to prevent any sort of recording of the discussion.

Lois Lerner taking the 5th today (after getting Four Pinnochios from the WaPo Factchecker) is going to make defending the Administration that much worse. I can hear it now “The evil GOP has been so overzealous in their pursuit of the non-scandal at the IRS that they are forcing Lerner to take the Fifth to shield herelf from her apparent complicity in the scandal”.

Going to watch this now just to hear her invoke her Fifth several times. Schadenfreude goes down well with my second cup of java this morning.

    • Fly: I’m glued to C-SPAN3. Coffee in hand. This stuff is better than any Hitchcock movie.

I feel cheated! I want my money back! They allow her to say she won’t answer questions and she is done for the day?! I wasn’t even half way through with my coffee.

What happened to the days when legislators could answer question after question and have the “witness” say “On the advice of counsel, I am choosing to invoke my Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and I will not answer that question.”?!

Screw the optics and whether it would have been seen as political badgering, badger the b!tch. Make her squirm. Make her rack up huge hours with that super lawyer she had with her. Make people wonder who her husband is and in how many ways the husband has WH connections.

In our politically correct society, they have even robbed us of this simple pleasure…

EOS – I just tuned into the hearing and saw the contemptible and unrepentant Douglas Shulman. Did you know that this guy was appointed by Bush?

        • Anonymous

Appointed by Bush, because of the Democratic Congress who had to approve the appointment. Shulman is a good size contributor to the Democratic Party.

    Lerner looks really scared.

  7. Interesting when Issa swore in witnesses just now, there is no longer “so help you God” at the end of the oath. When did that disappear?

O/T, the Jerks in Hartford have drafted a bill in secret blocking the release of Newtown information. Malloy and the Dems are using the Obama scandals as cover for their own propaganda program.,0,2316671.story

    Off topic, but:

‘Boxer uses Okla. tornado to push carbon tax’

“California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer blamed the tornado that devastated Oklahoma on global warming during a Senate floor speech Tuesday, using the opportunity to push her own plan to tax carbon dioxide emissions.

“This is climate change,” Boxer said. “This is climate change. We were warned about extreme weather: Not just hot weather, but extreme weather. When I had my hearings, when I had the gavel years ago — it’s been a while — the scientists all agreed that what we’d start to see was extreme weather.” …”

So there you have it: if only we had paid a carbon tax, this tragedy would have never happened.
