Going through the motions

Sebelius not only joined her boss in flatly lying about what’s happening with Obamacare, she can’t even be bothered to use a different speech writer than other administration figureheads. Today’s opening statement to the Senate hearing was word for word, identical to that of her subordinate Marilyn Tavenner’s.

Their end game has aways been a single-payer system, so what do they care about “glitches”?

Do your remember when there was such a thing as “major medical” insurance, that paid for the big things while leaving it to individuals to cover routine medical expenses? Today Obama called that “underinsurance”, sold by “bad apples”. Our leader has now forbidden that approach, and required all Americans to buy insurance for themselves and their neighbors that will pay for routine doctors visits, birth control and day care for the stranger down the block’s autistic child.

The bill for all this is scheduled to arrive immediately after next fall’s elections.

    This Administration is pure evil.

“I was just following orders,” was not a defense at Nuremberg.

Yep. I am old enough to remember when medical insurance functioned like other sorts of insurance. It covered the Big Stuff – things that could happen that could devastate you financially. Regular medical expenses? You paid for ’em out of your own pocket – like you did with your house and your car. No one would think of submitting toilet bowl cleaning supply costs or windshield wipers to their insurance company. Now, though, health providers I know have to fill out forms for $1.73 for their patients. And no; I am not exaggerating.

More and more, I think that the ultimate Big Question is this: do we still have enough head-in-the-sand “I can’t hear you” Joeys and $Bills and FF’s out there that are BUYING this steaming load of you know what from The One and Company? Or have enough of the former ostrich, low info voters gotten their heads out of their rear ends enough to realize that our nation is being sold down the river while the Dems in Power and their cronies laugh all the way to the bank. Yes – exactly where they go.

Anyone think that Algore could have become a billionaire without taking the American taxpayer for a ride? Anyone?

“It is hard to find the words to adequately describe how much of a disaster Obamacare is turning out to be. The debut of Healthcare.gov has been probably the worst launch of a major website in history, millions of Americans are having their current health insurance policies canceled, millions of others are seeing the size of their health insurance premiums absolutely explode, and this new law is going to result in massive numbers of jobs being lost. It is almost as if Obamacare was specifically designed to wreck the U.S. economy.

In California, a couple earning $64,000 a year would not qualify for health care subsidies. A bronze plan for them through Kaiser would cost them about $1,300 each month, or $15,600 a year. But if that same family earned just $2,000 less, it would qualify for over $14,000 in annual health care subsidies, dropping their premiums for that same Kaiser plan to less than $100 per month.

New York doctors are treating ObamaCare like the plague, a new survey reveals.

A poll conducted by the New York State Medical Society finds that 44 percent of MDs said they are not participating in the nation’s new health-care plan.

Another 33 percent say they’re still not sure whether to become ObamaCare providers.

Only 23 percent of the 409 physicians queried said they’re taking patients who signed up through health exchanges. ….”

ObamaCare is insane: it’s requiring people to get and pay for drug treatment coverage, even if they don’t do and have no intention of ever doing drugs. It requires senior aged women to get and pay for maternity coverage — something they’ll never need or use.

“… They’re not losing their health insurance, in the sense that it’s illegal for them not to have health insurance. They’re losing their good and affordable health insurance and being forced to pay far more for bad high deductible ObamaCare insurance… that does cover drug abuse, mental problems and maternity for everyone… including 59 year old women. …”

The reason we must have such broad coverage is that many of us don’t need or want it, and we will therefore being paying for more than we will actually use (especially the young and healthy). The “extra” profit that this accrues to the insurance companies will be used to pay for all the new folk getting coverage. These “better” policies are just a hidden subsidy for the uninsured – it is better for Obama to tell people they are getting better policies than telling them they are being taxed to cover other people.

The only “bad apples’ are Obama and his mouthpieces. Obamacare costs more for less and who knows if your doctor will take your insurance. The sad part is that in the next presidential election Hilary Clinton will run and unless the Republicans get their act together will likely win, plunging the healthcare insurance debacle into a bigger mess. They should all be fired!
