I bet our nuclear missile system works the same way

Metro-North shuts down completely when technician pulls out the wrong plug.

An employee working to repair a battery backup power system “inadvertently unhooked the wrong wire. It was just human error, a stupid mistake,” Metro-North spokeswoman Marjorie Anders said Friday morning.

How could such a little mistake with such massive consequences happen? The railroad said Friday it was still working to understand that.

Truly astonishing that our elected representatives of both parties have allowed Connecticut to be totally excluded from MTA/Metro North governance.

The Chairman of the MTA Metro North committee is a CPA from Fishkill, NY who represents Dutchess County NY on the MTA board.

Did you catch today’s report that its estimated that it will cost $50 billion over 20 years to bring CT railway up to snuff? Knowing all gov’t projects—that means $100 billion in 40 yrs….yeah right this is going to happen in my lifetime.

    • The article “No Jobs for Burly Men” recounts the disheartening story of how, upon first taking office in 2009, Obama and his advisors put together a plan to spend most of those billions of phony dollars they were going to pump into the economy into “shovel ready” infrastructure projects: damns, bridges, highways and rail. That plan lasted about two weeks before the feminist movement killed it, and the monies were spent instead on “traditional women’s jobs” like nursing and teaching (natch). The result was, the money was still spent, but we have nothing to show for it.
      Too bad.
