Hanging around in Saudi Arabia

Hanging around in Saudi Arabia

Secretary of UN Human Rights Council to discuss “pejorative” name,”Washington Redskins” football team. Apparently there isn’t much pressing on the agenda of the HRC and why should there be, when it includes so many champions of the oppressed?

Current members of the UN Human Rights Council include these examples of humanitarian regimes:

China (Just sentenced rights activist to 4 years)

Congo

Cuba

Pakistan

Russia

Saudi Arabia and

Venezuela

The United States pays 22% of the UN’s general budget and an additional 27% of its “peace keeping” efforts.

Just in case you were wondering.

I am hoping they will investigate this song, “Drunken Irish Dad” from the Family Guy. Very offensive.

Are you sure that is Saudi Arabia? I understood that they execute royals by firing squad, all others are beheaded by sword. Iran uses rigger trucks for hangings.

I remember clearly a rant written by Steve Dunleavy in the early 80’s when I was still a kid pointing out the fallacy of kissing the UN’s ass because all they ever do is work against us.

In over 30 years we’ve learned nothing.

Thank you for writing this up for me and saving me the time. Now I can simply link to this UTTER IDIOCY!

Yeah – in some parts of the world, men’s necks are broken at the end of a rope simply for THINKING about sex with another man, women who have been raped are stoned to death, young girls are being mutilated, Jews or Christians are murdered and/or tortured AND YET… the UN is going to weigh in on the disturbing issue of our time: whether the name “Redskins” is racist or not.

Our nation shouldn’t be spending TEN MORE CENTS on this joke of an institution. Except – I do realize that a number of people running our own government think that such a focus is simply mahvelous…. Ugh.
